Okay! Let’s get straight into it.

I was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco in Mexico before immigrating to the US (Miami. FL) when I was 2 years old, though I was raised fiercely bicultural. I am a dual citizen, fully bilingual, and I am artistically devoted to the immigrant and first (+)-generation experience that is emblematic of the United States’ cultural dynamic. I am a younger and older sibling, so I am annoying yet humble, and I love my family more than anything in the world. I also discovered I was queer at a young age, and learned a lot about the power of family and culture as a disruptor and pioneer within my South Florida community.

I found singing to be a spiritual outlet from a young age, and my brain became hardwired for theater after I saw Wicked on tour in Miami at age 10 (thanks Papa for taking me). When I was 12, I partook in my first musical (Beauty and The Beast JR as the Bookseller and a napkin, of course), and found a home in the oddball theater kid group.

I became a die-hard ‘thespian‘ (god, I hate that word), emphatically rejecting all subtlety on my path towards a BFA. I learned intimately the extent to which educational institutions can exploit young artists, and found myself working to forge my own path. I had a wonderful existential crisis while studying Musical Theater at Long Island University, and transferred my ass over to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts to get my BFA in Acting. It was the first institution I attended to ever tell me that I was enough. I am forever grateful to them.

A month after graduating in 2023, I signed with Gray Talent Group (heyyyyyyy), and moved to the Windy City in hopes of finding roots in this artistically diverse and wonderfully inclusive community. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

I have gotten to work with so many theaters across the U.S. (check out the res!), joined the ranks of Mucca Pazza as a rock ‘n roll clown cheerleader, established myself as an arts educator, and am constantly getting to collaborate with the coolest artists.

If you’re interested in my work as a director, deviser, and performer— I love to explore themes of queerness, code-switching, privilege, gender-identity, feminism, technology, alienation, addiction, and whimsy. I feel that theater is a revolutionary art form, especially in this age of technological frivolity and with the decline of human-to-human connection.
