A great (and politically pertinent) question!

My name is Diego Vazquez Gomez (he/they) and I am a performer, director, and teaching artist based in Chicago, Illinois. Though I am originally from Miami, Florida (I know, brave).

I have been in the world of theater ever since I was a (loosely) closeted middle-schooler with an entropic compulsion to harmonize. And now, at 26, I am a professional** harmonizer and play-pretender with a solemn appreciation and commitment to this wonderful, ever-timely art form.

I have had the privilege of working in Chicago’s theatre scene for the past 3 years. BUT! Whenever I am not sweating profusely onstage or recovering from a non-union tech week… You can find me:

• Barista-ing at The Understudy Coffee & Books

• Cheerleading for the LEGENDARY Mucca Pazza

• Rock climbing / destroying my hand modeling career

• Biking frantically around Chicago (because, yes, I am running 3 minutes late)

• Grocery shopping with violent fiscal abandon

• Writing music / Poems

• Supporting local artists whenever I physically able
